Designation (Job Title): Operator – Selenium Roaster & Hydrometallurgical process
Department: Precious Metal Refinery
Education: Diploma Engineer/ Trade certificate in Chemical/ Metallurgy/ Process Engineering
Experience: Experience in process plants 1 to 7 years
Technical Competencies:
• Domain knowledge of precious metal refining (Se roaster, distillation, leaching, reduction, filtration)
• Chemical / reagents safely handling/ storage
• Appreciation of maintenance practices
• Appreciation of quality systems
Position that the Role reports into: Shift Supervisor-Se Roaster & Hydromet
Peers including position:
• Operator - Se Roaster
• CRO - Se Roaster and Hydromet
• Operator - Se distillation
• Operator - Utilities, Neutralization and Effluent
• Operator - Hydromet
• Operator - Se filtration & reduction
Role:
• To operate the Selenium Roaster (Kiln Furnace), Selenium distillation, copper, tellurium, PGM, silver & gold leaching and reduction and neutralization process towards the production of Selenium Granules, Cu-Te, Te, Ag, Au within stipulated purity range along with other quality specifications from anode slime supplied by the electro refinery.
• To achieve norms of productivity and learn continuously towards improvement of technical competencies and multiskilling.
