PIPELINE ENGINEER
Start Date: 1st July 2025
Duration: 12 month renewable
Location: The Services are expected to be performed in the beginning at the premises of Paris, with ad-hoc missions in France or abroad when required
The service includes performing preliminary offshore pipeline and risers design for early phases development studies, in particular screening, conceptual and pre-Project phases. In addition, it includes supporting further phases like FEED and Detail Design, by reviewing and following-up design work done by CONTRACTORS and participating to technical meetings. Moreover, it includes
supporting COMPANY’s affiliates to operate pipeline and risers related assets by assessing fit-for-purpose and recommending further repairing strategies. Finally, though the main activities are related to offshore pipeline systems, some support may be expected for onshore pipeline
engineering.

The service includes performing preliminary offshore pipeline and risers design for early phases development studies, in particular screening, conceptual and pre-Project phases. engineering.
ACTIVITIES
- Performing preliminary pipeline and riser design for shallow and deepwater offshore developments, including shore approaches (open trench and trenchless crossings), following international design codes and standards as well as Company General Specifications.
- Support FEED and Detail Design by reviewing the documents issued by CONTRACTOR, supporting Technical Queries responses, participating to technical meetings and issuing Memos with technical recommendations.
- Assist COMPANY’s affiliates to assess integrity of pipeline and risers (fit-for-purpose), recommend inspections (in assistance to COMPANY’s Inspection Department and Corrosion), repairs, maintenance and monitoring activities.
- Perform pipeline and riser life extension, re-qualification, decommissioning and abandonment studies.
- Participate to technical Project Reviews, Cold Eyes. Technical Audits and Value Engineering exercises
- Capture the lessons learnt and feedback from participation to all supporting tasks in order to improve COMPANY’s General Specifications.
- Likewise, the same activities described above can be expected for onshore pipeline systems.
- Level of expertise:
- 10 years’ experience in shallow water and deep offshore rigid pipeline and riser design.
- Knowledge in onshore pipeline design.
- Fully knowledgeable in offshore design standards and codes as DNV ST F101, DNV ST F201, ASME B31.8,
- ASME B31.4, API STD 2RD and API RP 1111 as well as the documents referenced in these. A minimum knowledge in onshore pipeline design codes (ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, ISO 13623)
- Languages of the service: English and French
