Job Title: Platform Engineer Linux and Windows Services
About the Role:
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure Integration & Cloud (IIC) department, specifically in the Infrastructure Services Unatics Team. This team consists of seven professionals working together to deliver robust and secure IT solutions. The unit is responsible for the development, integration, and management of Linux services and the Ansible Automation Platform, which are crucial to core business processes. The team collaborates closely with business stakeholders and other IT teams.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Platform Engineer, you will support business processes through IT by developing and maintaining Linux services while contributing to infrastructure automation. The role primarily focuses on automation using Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).

Your Responsibilities:
As a Platform Engineer, you will support business processes through IT by developing and maintaining Linux services while contributing to infrastructure automation. The role primarily focuses on automation using Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
Key tasks include:
- Developing automated Linux server deployment and decommissioning.
- Creating a self-service platform.
- Defining and implementing building blocks as end-to-end services.
- Automating existing IT management tasks.
- Monitoring and ensuring the availability and performance of the platform.
- Advising and guiding users on the platform’s services.
- Investigating and resolving system issues.
- Writing documentation, guidelines, and manuals.
- Drafting change proposals and problem reports.
- Managing Linux systems at the OS level.

Additionally, you have:
- HBO (Bachelor’s degree level) in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a complex IT environment, with at least 3 years specializing in Linux products (Red Hat Linux), VMware, and Ansible (must-have).
- Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (must-have).
- Experience with ansible-navigator and Ansible execution environments (must-have).
- Experience optimizing an existing Ansible codebase.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (minimum B2 level).
- Experience in automating IT management tasks.
- A drive to continuously improve IT infrastructure.
- Experience working Agile (preferred).
- Experience with Jira (preferred).
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every five weeks.

- Location: Arnhem (two days per week in-office minimum).
- Team meetings: Tuesday at Rijnpoort, Thursday at Headquarters.
- Availability: 32-40 hours per week, preferred start date April 15.
- Contract Duration: Initial contract with the possibility of extension.
