Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with Pilot Plant and R&D to scope the equipment needed through operational data
- Parsing large continuous data sets to assess operational success
- Collaborate with R&D and scale-up teams to transfer technology packages to identify equipment for unit operations ensuring process validation.
- Partner with R&D, and pilot plant teams, along with external vendors, to implement key equipment for unit operations ensuring final product requirements.
- Lead the selection of key unit operations equipment through vendor trials and act as company point of contact for vendors for process equipment evaluation and selection.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule trial runs and secure necessary materials and equipment.
- Oversee the execution of vendor trials at the vendor site, ensuring adherence to established protocols and analyze trial data, including performance metrics, quality parameters, and cost implications.
- Contribute to the engineering design of commercial scale plant through PFD, P&ID and process design development and reviews.
- Contribute to the development of fundamental process improvement activities leveraging knowledge from vendor trial.
- Communicate results and progress to technical teams, management, and business leadership through written reports and oral presentations.
- Champion safety, especially in pilot plant design and operation.
- Foster Sublime Systems’ reputation by delivering innovative solutions.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- B.S., or M.S., in Chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong ability to conceptualize and complete mass and energy balances of novel processes.
- Use outside the box thinking to generate multiple optionality for project solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in Chemical Process unit operations with focus on mixing, solid/liquid separation, drying and material transfer.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals, especially acid-base chemistry, solubility and precipitation, chemical kinetics, and continuous reactor design.
- Knowledge of and passion for applying engineering fundamentals to chemical plant design and operation.
- Prior work experience at an EPC is beneficial.
- Versatile.
- Capable of developing detail oriented analyses while being happy to roll up sleeves and solve hands on problems.
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, distill information, consult, and suggest new approaches.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, focusing on accuracy and quality, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
