Our client is actively seeking an experieced Process Technician to join their team out of their location in Budd Lake, NJ! This position provides support to the product development scientist for research and development of new and existing products for engineering plastics by performing a wide variety of technical tasks. This is a full-time, year contract with a well-established provider in chemical manufacturing and production. The following responsabilities/qualifications are below:

  • The technician must review and follow laboratory services requests for blending, compounding, molding. 
  • Operate extruders, molding machines, feeders and auxiliary equipment 
  • weigh and blend raw materials for experimental formulations prior to compounding 
  • operate injection molding machines, conduct mold changes and knowledge of optimizing mold process conditions
  • collect and report data from experiments 
  • wear safety equipment and follow company established safety, healthy and environmental policies and procedures
  • the technician understands the importance of process safety when opearting a fork truck and applies all operating and safety procedures to ensure pedestrians are safe
  • supports activities related to inventory of raw materials, developmental samples and commercial products
  • must have fork truck license and operate all lift equipment such as fork-truck, pallet jacks, drum handlers and transport equipment. 
  • Must be able to safely lift a maximum of 55 lbs.

Requirements: 
- Must have a valid Drivers License and vehicle insurance 
- 2+ years experience (preferred)
- Pilot Plant expereince (prefered)
- Comfortable in plant environment and comfortable with physical lifting of up to 40 lbs.
