With continued forecasted growth we are seeking in this newly created role a Production Team Lead who is passionate, energetic, reliable, and well-mannered to join their professional team. You will be a self-motivated team player (ideally with an engineering trades background) with a proactive can-do attitude. Your strategic and analytical thinking skills, alongside your ability to work within a small and dedicated team or independently will assist you in exceling in this position. You will be part of a high-performing team that strives for 100% customer satisfaction which is what the company is renowned for, while full training and tools will be provided from a supportive team.

The purpose of this role is to lead the fabrication/ manufacturing of Nevada’s farm equipment while being heavily involved with full supply chain including purchasing while also jumping on in helping out with fabrication/welding and assembly of their specialised equipment as and when required.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising and leading small team personnel in a high-volume production environment.
  • Ensuring the team adheres to production schedules and deadlines.
  • Monitoring production standards and quality control measures.
  • Training new team members and ensuring that all team members are competent in their roles.
  • Maintaining accurate records of production data, including volume produced, materials used, and any deviations from standard processes.
  • Fabricating, welding and assembling of equipment.
  • Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.
  • Enforcing strict safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Working closely with their management team in the development of new products to bring to market

Some of your crucial duties of production processes include:
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure equipment availability, raw material supply, and timely completion of production targets.
  • Conducting regular team meetings to communicate targets, strategies, and company news.
  • Assisting in the development of budgets for the manufacturing department.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and initiating projects aimed at lowering costs and improving quality.
  • Evaluating team performance and providing feedback and coaching to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Carrying out fabricating, welding and assembling of equipment.

Coming from an Engineering Trades background is essential and experience with lean manufacturing would be advantageously.  You will also have extensive experience in a manufacturing/ fabrication/welding environment. Having had a supervisory role could be advantageous, but not essential if you’re prepared to learn and grow your own skillset.

Attention to detail and having excellent communication and decision-making skills are required.

This is a Monday to Friday position and as well as having an attractive remuneration package, you will also be provided with training and support from their dynamic team.
