Position Overview: The Compression Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compression equipment in the Mentone Wolf Camp production area. This role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. The technician will work closely with production teams to maintain high-quality standards and meet production goals.


Key Responsibilities:
•           Perform routine maintenance and repairs on compression equipment, including compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
•           Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions as needed.
•           Collaborate with production personnel to ensure that equipment performance aligns with production targets.
•           Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
•           Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and environmental standards.
•           Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
•           Work independently and as part of a team to support the efficient operation of the compression systems.
•           Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Occidental Petroleum’s safety procedures and industry regulations.

Requirements:
•           Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting compression equipment, ideally in an oil and gas production environment.
•           Strong mechanical skills with the ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
•           Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•           Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•           Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
•           Flexibility to work in variable conditions and schedule demands.
