Role Responsibilities:
• Analyze financial data using statistical software and spreadsheets, develop financial models, and support decision-making processes.
• Maintain and update databases to ensure information accuracy and relevance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to aid executives in strategic decision-making.
• Perform comparative analyses and benchmarking against industry standards and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting systems.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions.
• Oversee and ensure adherence to key project accounting policies and procedures, such as Delegation of Authority (DOA) and revenue recognition standards.
• Collaborate with support functions to address project accounting compliance issues.
• Review and ensure revenue and cost adjustments align with revenue recognition policies and applicable DOA guidelines.
• Monitor projects to maintain or enhance their financial performance, seeking opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
• Work closely with the Commercial team to maximize project profitability.
• Ensure accurate posting of project-related accruals and general ledger journal entries
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or similar are highly regarded.
• Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) are a strong advantage.
• Expertise in spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Office, and financial software.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in financial forecasting, analysis, and report preparation is typically required.
