Energy Transition
Make an Impact with Work You Can Be Proud Of The energy transition is accelerating, bringing an unprecedented workload. The rise of electric vehicles, the shift away from gas, and the increasing supply of self-generated renewable energy—such as solar panels and wind farms—are making our customers' needs more complex. This requires major adjustments to the energy network, while at the same time, we face a shortage of technicians and the need to improve quality and efficiency. To help navigate these challenges, we are looking for Project Management Officers (PMOs) to support our mission.
Your Role

As a Project Management Officer, you will support the gas and reconstruction chain, ensuring clear oversight of progress and quality within the chain. Your responsibilities include:
  • Assessing and refining content (e.g., reports) for specific target groups.
  • Managing internal change processes and providing insights into change realization.
  • Balancing a supporting role (handling reports, meeting documentation, and onboarding) with a strategic role (advising managers, ensuring quality, and delivering key management insights).
  • Distilling complex information into clear main and side issues.
You will be part of the Business Project department, which carries out large electricity and gas projects primarily in the West and Central Netherlands. The team’s focus is on expanding and strengthening the electricity grid, meeting gas replacement targets, optimizing contractor collaboration, and professionalizing project management.

What You Bring

You are structured, proactive, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You plan efficiently, take initiative, and maintain an overview of ongoing work. Your strong communication skills allow you to engage with different departments, and you know how to motivate stakeholders to make well-supported decisions.
What makes you the ideal candidate?
  • HBO-level education and at least 5 years of experience in a project organization.
  • Knowledge of methodologies such as (SAFe) Agile, Prince2 Agile, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience in the energy sector and technical environments.
  • Strong organizational skills, including financial tracking and risk management.
  • A pragmatic and results-driven attitude—you don’t stop until the job is done!
Your Team & Work Environment From day one, you will be part of a professional PMO team within the Business Project - Change & Support department. The team manages the change portfolio and develops business solutions, working closely with PMOs from other chains.
We work flexibly, following a hybrid model: you’ll spend about half your time at one of our offices (Delft, Utrecht, Heinenoord, or Rotterdam), and the rest working remotely.
