Far North Based Role
NES are proud to be exclusively working with a new client, based in the far north, who are after a Project Manager to support the construction of a new processing facility. An exciting new frontier, our client has completed a demonstration plant, proving concept of their processing technology, and are now ready to push forward with the first stage of construction of their phase 1 plant.
Ideally commencing in February 2025, you will be tasked with managing the project from design, through construction, to commissioning Q3 2026. You will have a strong commercial focus and a proven track record of defining schedules and delivering on target on time. Due to the nature of the processing plant, experience on projects from the Oil & Gas or Chemical manufacturing industries would be ideal.
This is not a run of the mill role and will require someone open to geographical flexibility as the project progresses. Through the initial design phase, there will be a requirement to either be based or spend significant time with the selected design consultants, managing this crucial front-end stage. From here, as the project moves into construction, you will need to be on site, located 10kms North of Kaitaia, through to completion.
While the site is remote, it is in one of the most stunning parts of New Zealand, with beautiful beaches and outstanding fishing, this will appeal to someone seeking a bit of adventure. With the option of living at Coopers Beach, or other local communities, coupled with being a part of an enterprising business and innovative project, this is an opportunity that does not come around often.
