QA/QC Engineer

📍 Location: Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea
🔧 Discipline: Civil / Structural QA/QC
Contract: Fixed-Term (with potential extension)

We are currently seeking a detail-driven and process-focused QA/QC Engineer to join our team on Lihir Island. You’ll be working across critical underground and civil works, ensuring quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement are embedded into all construction activities.

🔍 Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct shift handovers and coordinate daily anchor fabrication targets with drilling teams

  • Lead pre-starts with the anchor fabrication crew, gather feedback, and relay to stakeholders

  • Act as custodian for all ITPs, checklists, and QA/QC documentation – ensuring updates and change management are in place

  • Perform site inspections (civil and anchors) and manage records through SharePoint

  • Collaborate with construction teams to develop and implement SOPs

  • Manage NCRs and issue Site Observation Reports for unresolved non-conformance

  • Maintain technical documentation, TQs, SRs, and redline markups

  • Oversee material testing – including grout cube and fibercrete sampling

  • Ensure survey markups align with the latest designs and anchor schedules

  • Provide support for Devi-Gyro and Devi aligner operations

  • Coordinate QA/QC activities with internal and external stakeholders

What You Bring:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in mining, civil, or infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of ITPs, NCRs, QA processes, and SOP development

  • Hands-on experience with inspections, redline drawings, and construction standards

  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, and QA/QC tracking systems

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
