Quality Excellence Engineer

About the vacancy: You’ll be working with a leading expert in deepwater ocean infrastructure, contributing to cleaner and more efficient energy production. Your role will focus on enhancing GEMS compliance and driving continuous improvement within the department. You’ll also integrate quality assurance insights and monitor performance, promoting a culture of excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, ensuring compliance and providing feedback for improvement.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
• Analyze quality performance, report progress, and contribute to department and organization-wide improvement initiatives.
• Support GEMS compliance and contribute to quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with various departments to drive quality excellence and ensure standards are met across all activities.
• Assist in integrating quality assurance into proposals and tenders, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence through training and awareness programs.

Performance Metrics:

• Number of audits conducted and on-time audit completion.
• Audit findings and closure rates.
• Timeliness and effectiveness of improvement projects.
• Accuracy and timeliness of QA inputs for proposals.
• Internal feedback from team members on quality performance.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field, with a focus on quality management.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent.
• 10+ years in the Oil and Gas industry, including senior-level roles, with expertise in project management, engineering, and quality management systems (ISO 9000, ISO/TS 29001, etc.).
• Strong knowledge in welding, coating, NDT, preservation, and explosive atmospheres.
