Overview
The Security Operations Manager will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of line management to all security operations. You will provide direct support to the Country Security Manager and assist with managing the security framework on oilfields. The role encompasses all security measures that safeguards project personnel and assets, deployed at locations within the area and other designated off-field locations.
Principal Accountabilities:
Operational command and control of all security operations across the site to oversee the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols to include safe and secure access for all staff, contractors and visitors.

The Security Operations Manager will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of line management to all security operations. Principal Accountabilities:
Operational command and control of all security operations across the site to oversee the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols to include safe and secure access for all staff, contractors and visitors.
Specific duties:
- Security advisor to the Incident Management Team.
- Manage and maintain relationships with all Security stakeholders.
- UAV oversight and mission management.
- Operational oversight of direct contracted Private Security Companies.
- Oversight of static security and access control at a number of key facilities.
- Operational oversight of the Security Command and Control Centre (SCCC).
- Through personal example and focused professionalism, provide long term mentoring to the security manager and his subordinate management team.
- Conduct frequent field visits in order to maintain visibility and management oversight of designated functions.
- Be culturally aware and act in a manner that is appropriate and mindful of the cultural diversity.
- Ensure that the supporting policies and procedures are drafted and reviewed for all sites as required, to ensure that a comprehensive security system is documented and in place at each location.
- Manage the security team administrational issues– manning, rotations, leave & compassionate.
- Departmental invoicing approvals.
- Administration and financial approvals for direct Agency reports.
- Management of a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team.
- Remaining up to date with future emerging requirements and implementation of security projects through on-going upgrades.
- Ensuring contract compliance and high standards of service delivery from multiple contractors.
- Security weekly & leadership information collection and dissemination.
- Previous experience as a Senior Military or Law Enforcement manager.
- Proven operational experience in a demanding high-risk environment.
- History of working in a management position within a Security Environment/ PSC (PSM minimum).
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of diligence, initiative, and accuracy with limited supervision.
- Ability to ensure that standards and discipline are maintained amongst dispersed groups.
- Previous Oil and Gas security operations experience or similar Preferable – not essential.
- Preferably worked in Iraq for a minimum of two years.
