Senior Accountant
Functions:
Senior Accountant will be responsible for the major reporting and reconciliation of accounts; with leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas
Organizational Responsibility:
Reports to the Controller
Communicates effectively with the Leadership Team members, and the other managers
Assumes leadership role to guide accounting personnel in daily tasks and reviewing financial data for accuracy

Skills:
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles,
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot table, v-lookups)
Proven ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to lead a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
ADP payroll processing experience
Knowledge of Vision Accounting Software (preferred)
Schedule:
This position can be 5/40 or 9/80 and requires some weekend work for payroll
Job Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in corporate accounting

Functions:
Senior Accountant will be responsible for the major reporting and reconciliation of accounts; with leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas
Organizational Responsibility:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle month-end entries for the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- In charge of internal audit including but not limited to review of daily expenditure, payables and cash receipts. Verify correctness of all transaction postings including inter-office and inter-company transactions
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the Controller if necessary
- Process/supervise reconciliation of general ledger and subsidiary accounts including bank reconciliation
- Review reconciliation of various benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, benefit time off and voluntary benefit deductions
- Payroll responsibilities include the following:
- Review and ensure the accuracy of each payroll processing, including termination checks and payouts
- Process payroll in case of Payroll Processor’s absence
- Pull completed payroll reports from ADP for disbursement entry and other related processes
- Process and reconcile completed payroll reports for entry in the Accounting System
- Assist in finding resolutions on various payroll issues.
- Ensure timely weekly timesheet postings and time clock review
- Review project in progress outstanding items; assist in coordinating with billing all necessary unbilled items for review
- Assist in project closing and profitability analysis
- Assist in preparation of ad hoc reports
- Monthly and quarterly sales tax returns filing; assist in reviewing taxability of projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Handle fixed asset schedule and assist in annual property tax return filing
- Assist in completion of various management reports
- Handle and assist Controller on various external audits, including but not limited to the preparation of schedules required for audit
- Training new employees in various tasks and responsibilities
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Controller or CFO
