Senior Civil Engineer | Defence

I am currently working with an Australian owned design consultancy with a reputation for designing and delivering engineering solutions for clients in the property, transport, water, defence, renewable and mining sectors.

They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with 7+ years’ experience to join the team in Adelaide on a full time basis, working on a large defence project.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking, reviewing and certifying high quality designs for earthworks, roads and traffic, general services, drainage, and water / sewer infrastructure utilities including pump stations.
  • Performing engineering calculations/modelling as well as design functions as applicable to project.
  • Taking responsibility for delivery of individual projects or components of projects to client satisfaction.
  • Developing and fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentoring junior staff and passing on knowledge, this includes where appropriate; supervising, training and motivating the design team to achieve required project outcomes.
  • Monitoring project completion including timelines, budgets, quality assurance and programming.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction at all stages of the project.
Experience
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Civil related design and delivery of land development and building type projects, including multi-disciplinary servicing of developments.
  • Chartered Engineering Professional (preferred) and/or RPEQ Certification.
  • 7+ Civil Engineering experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of and experience using; 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and DRAINS.
  • Excellent report writing skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience on defence related projects looked upon favourably.
