Woodside Energy is seeking a Senior Contracts & Procurement Advisor for a 2-year contract with potential to extend.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Pre-award experience and the ability to manage the end-to-end tender process.
  • Experience in developing contracting plans and other internal documents.
  • Experience in conducting negotiation of commercial and contractual terms is necessary along with an understanding of how deviations resulting from negotiations impact the risk profile of the engagement.
  • A strong understanding of procurement ethics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead end to end sourcing activities for any of the Technical Services pillars - Reserves & Subsurface, Technology and Innovation, Telecommunications, IT, Cyber, Digital / AI and multiple capital project's technology requirements globally
  • Stakeholder engagement to understand business needs and provide advice relating to contract strategies, sourcing options and ways to achieve lowest total cost of ownership
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions through to successful contract award
  • Provide reporting and analysis, supporting the ongoing development of the Technical Services category
  • Ability to be flexible and assist across portfolios where needed
  • Possess a strong understanding of procurement ethics in order to conduct sourcing activities in a professional and ethical manner
Skills & Experience:
  • University degree in business, finance, or other related discipline, or relevant experience in a contracting and sourcing role
  • Demonstrated experience with procurement of technology related products, services and solutions or demonstrated ability to translate existing contracting and procurement skills to a new and previously unknown category
  • Highly developed communications skills, with an ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organisation
  • Well organised self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise across multiple activities and stakeholder groups
  • Positive and proactive person who works well with people of different backgrounds and skills
