- Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical/Power Engineering
- At least eight (8) years applicable experience in the Power Electrical design on the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Hands on work experience with international code and standards such as API, NEMA, NFPA, NEC, IEC, IEE, ICEA, IALA, ICAO, etc.
- Equipment Exposure: Gas Turbine Generators (GTG), Gas Turbine Compressors (GTCs), Diesel Engine Generators (DEGs), Navigational Aid System, Combined Cycle Vapor Turbo Generators(CCVTs), Thermo Electric Generators (THEGs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Solar Panel, Heat Trace Systems, MV/LV Motors, Transformers, UPS System etc. MV/LV Switchgears, Distribution Boards (DBs), Lighting Panels & Lighting Fixtures, Electrical Cable etc. Electrical Bulk Items (Cable Trays, Cable Glands, JBs, Supports etc.)
- Design Experience: Power System Study, Cable Routing, Layout Development for both offshore & onshore oil & gas facilities
- Hands on experience with ETAP, SKM, Luxicon, LuxiPro, Chalmlite, Dialux Capable and available for giving assistance during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup.
- The electrical engineer in detailed engineering team reports to the Head of Department (HOD - Electrical Discipline) functionally and reports directly to the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) when assigned in a project/proposal.
- Manage all engineering electrical work activities, people, and work plan to ensure that all electrical engineering works are meet with engineering quality plan and project schedule.
- Prepares/reviews Data sheet, Material Requisition for Items to be procured, while doing so, it is his/her responsibility to get the prepared documents reviewed by Project Engineering Manager.
- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing to meet with Project/Client requirement.
- Provide interdisciplinary inputs to Mechanical, Instrumentation, Process, Piping teams for the development of detailed design.
- Prepare/review the vendor Technical Clarification (Technical Bid Clarification (TBC)), Attends clarifications meeting with vendors to ensure compliance of vendor technical offers with project requirement (Spec/Datasheet/MR).
- Prepare/review the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBEs).
- Take part in provide/review/verify electrical design concept, Single line diagram, cable sizing, equipment sizing and selection
- Provide/review/verify the electrical equipment location, cable routing, cable tray routing, Equipment supports along with the electrical designer/drafter.
- Review and approve the electrical detail design, study, calculation, electrical data sheet and other electrical document which are prepared by other engineers.
- Take part in Model reviews, Constructability reviews.
- Attend the engineering weekly meetings, department review meetings.
- Provide technical assistance during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up.
