Senior Expert Project Services
Contract period: 01.11.2024 - 31.12.2025
Location: Stavanger
Main Tasks:
- Ensure implementation of, and compliance to, Company Project Services related standards & group procedural requirements in developing & implementing the project services NOV Norway strategy to deliver high quality project services outputs and activities, always ensuring there is a Company view on project forecasts.
- Deliver fit for purposes estimates, schedules, project control plans, performance reporting, budget management, risk management and management of change deliverable for the Norway NOV portfolio including ownership of the Norway NOV Integrated Project Portfolio Plan and ensure all Norway NOV projects are reviewed & monitored and Company view performance reports are issued each period.
- Support the Asset & Project Manager(s) and Finance teams as well as technical managers to develop resourcing plans and to track cost progress as required. Single point of contact for finance for all project cost management matters and provide high quality input into MTP (Mid Term Planning) process.
- Maintain excellent working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Also ensure communication plans with Operators are effective.
- Ensure each project plan specifies what information is required from Operator to effectively control each project and ensure this is delivered and ensure a robust and transparent change management system practices are followed.
- Execute effective project performance measurement (including progress & VOWD measurement & validation, gap analysis, trends analysis, key metric tracking & forecasting, milestone tracking & forecasting etc) flag deviations and wherever possible suggest solutions to Operator on key focus areas.
Qualifications:
- Highly experienced and very good understanding of projects and all project services disciplines across all phases of project maturation in the offshore oil and gas sector, with Major Capital Projects or portfolios.
- Relevant professional experience 10-12 years
- Knowledge of economics and commercial issues.
- Ability to create good quality cost & schedule information to support decision making.
- Good knowledge and experience of key Project Management Tools; Primavera, OmegaPims, CapDat, EasyRisk, Primavera risk (or other) would be an advantage.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with multiple priorities, tight deadlines, with a solutions & continual improvement mind set.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, knows what 'good' Project Services looks like & deliver it.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Vital to develop relationships with Operator teams.
