Senior ICSS Engineer
Our client’s FPSOs and FLNGs are monitored, controlled, and safeguarded by an Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), which includes the Fire & Gas system. Leveraging reputable suppliers, standardized solutions, and experienced integrators, our client can design, deliver, and commission the ICSS efficiently and to a high standard. The ICSS engineers in the E&I department oversee this work scope from proposal through commissioning and start-up.
Tasks
The role of the Senior ICSS Engineer includes the following tasks:
Proposal / Concept / FEED Phase
The Sr. ICSS Engineer will:
• Review client requirements.
• Participate in system selection.
• Prepare a system architecture and I/O estimates.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, classification requirements, our client’s standards, and client requirements.
Basic / Detail Phase The Sr. ICSS Engineer will:
• Focus on cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
• Develop a project-specific system design and associated documentation.
• Prepare key diagrams and philosophies, including Hierarchical Shutdown Levels Diagram, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control & Safeguarding Philosophy, F&G Philosophy, and F&G layouts.
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP and SIL assessments.
• Prepare ICSS RFQ, review vendor quotations, and make vendor selections.
• Act as package engineer, ensuring on-time and budget-compliant system delivery.
• Oversee package unit integration with the ICSS and perform ICSS inspections and tests (Factory and Site Acceptance Tests).
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, classification, our client’s standards, and client requirements.
Profile
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (TU/HTS) with at least 8 years of experience in advanced ICSS systems in the Oil & Gas industry is required. Offshore ICSS experience and knowledge of international offshore codes and standards are preferred.
Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, creativity, professional communication in English, proficiency in MS Office, willingness to travel, and the ability to work beyond discipline boundaries while maintaining safety consciousness.
