This role is based at a modern manufacturing facility within the Leiden Bio Science Park — the largest life sciences hub in the Netherlands. The site specializes in commercial manufacturing and includes capabilities for multi-product Cell Therapy production.

Position: Senior Maintenance Technician
In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for mechanical and electrical systems across a GMP-regulated facility. This includes manufacturing areas, utility plants, warehouses, and labs. Your work will ensure systems operate safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to operations.

Position: Senior Maintenance Technician
In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for mechanical and electrical systems across a GMP-regulated facility. This includes manufacturing areas, utility plants, warehouses, and labs. Your work will ensure systems operate safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support for facility utilities and equipment, such as HVAC units, chillers, boilers, compressed air/gas systems, water treatment, and emergency power.
- Support equipment installations and changes, including updates to manuals and SOPs, following all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including equipment logs, manuals, and service records.
- Train and guide users on correct equipment operation and system usage.
- Supervise external technicians during maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- MBO level 4 diploma (or equivalent) in a technical field such as facilities maintenance, metrology, automation, or similar.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC, piping, electrical systems, and/or instrumentation.
- Demonstrated experience in GMP-regulated environments, with strong knowledge of documentation and compliance requirements.
- Prior exposure to facility operations within pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing is a plus.
