Our client, an Oil and Gas Services Company, is currently hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in their Milan, Italy offices.
This is for a large-scale gas field development project in Libya.
Type of Assignment** Full time
Duration Of Assignment 30 Months minimum
Work Location(s) Milano (MUST have right to work in EU)
Summarized Job Description or List of position Responsibilities/duties.
• Ability to review Design and develop mechanical systems and components based on project specifications and requirements.
• Detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics simulations to validate designs and ensure performance under operating conditions.
• Utilize software tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL or equal for simulation and analysis.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ASTM).
• Perform inspections and testing of mechanical systems to verify performance and quality.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers. Identify and resolve technical issues, proposing innovative solutions
• Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
Minimum Academic Qualifications
• BSc or higher at oil & gas sector (not less than 10 years’ experience.
• Petroleum Tech. Institute with experience in oil & Gas Engineering projects (Non-graduate engineer/ 20 years’ experience in oil & gas production).
Minimum Work Experience (Years)
• 10 years for Graduate engineers.
• 20 years Non graduate engineers including experience at oil & gas engineering & design sectors.
Minimum Relevant Experience
5 years EPIC projects experience.
Level of language skills
Level of computer skills
Level of organizational skills
Professional Certificates/Licenses
etc.
• Proficiency Level in English Lang.
• Computer skills : Engineering Design Software (e.g., AutoCAD),SAP2000 ,ANSYS or similar, Microsoft office, Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and evaluate process performance.
• Organization skills: Time Management, Task management, Planning, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication, Problem-Solving.
• PMP or similar, Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) , ASME Certifications, Safety Certifications, Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
