Our global mining client is currently seeking a Senior Partnership Advisor to join them on a three-month contract, part-time. This role will be based south of Perth.

Job Summary
  • This position supports the delivery of the company’s community investment program, which is a strategic enabler to preserve and protect our reputation and ensuring our social license to operate and grow.
  • The program represents more than $5 million in investment annually, with this role directly responsible for securing and managing regional partnerships worth more than $2 million annually.
  • The incumbent is required to ensure all corporate and company Foundation community partnerships are actively leveraged and promoted including through effective communications, events and employee engagement.
  • They are required to maintain the community investment framework for the company, ensuring compliance with legal, social, and audit requirements.
  • In addition, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the Volunteers program across Australia including overseeing the company’s ACTION program.
  • The incumbent is required to represent external events, including those hosted by partners, some of which may occur outside traditional working hours (i.e. during evenings and on weekends)
  • The position is located at the company’s Booragoon office but the incumbent may be required to travel to operating and other external locations as required in order to fully meet the requirements of the role.
Essential Knowledge and skills:
  • The position demands an experienced community relations / corporate affairs professional with a strong track record in community investment, communications and stakeholder engagement who is able to lead and work independently.
  • The individual needs to have a high level of strategic skills, an ability to influence outcomes, and be an effective communicator.
  • The incumbent must have prior experience in grants management and the development of associated project plans, communications activities and briefings
  • The individual should have knowledge of the economic, industry, social, and environmental policy context.
  • The individual must have strong interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to make sound, practical, logical and balanced judgements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, social impact, stakeholder engagement or another relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5years’ experience in managing community investment, stakeholder engagement and communications activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and strong team commitment
