Senior Planning Engineer

We are looking for candidates that would be suitable for Senior Planning Engineer

Role : Senior Planning Engineer
Location : Oman
Experienced : 8 to 10 Years (Planning experience in Civil & Building Construction)

Requirements:
 

• Must have worked as team leader and handled planning team of 4 to 5 members.
• Should demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of construction activities and sequencing on site.
• Should have strong knowledge and experience of Primavera and MS Offices. Good knowledge of Data base structure and its fields.
• Should show strong ability to develop, identify and evaluate the components of a project scope management plan and master schedule for multiple projects.
• Should show strong ability to establish a schedule control system & procedures, performance measures for multiple projects.
• Should show strong ability to review and use knowledge and experience to guide planners to develop schedules for multiple projects.
• Should show strong ability to use knowledge and experience to guide Planning engineers to create code structure for multiple and complex projects.
• Should show strong ability to create Master WBS/EPS/OBS/Resource Codes.
• Should show strong ability to determine and quantify resourcing needs using the WBS, scope statement, resource pool descriptions, historical information, and resource histograms for multiple projects.
• Should show strong knowledge of Earned Value Techniques (EVT).
• Should show strong ability to carry out EVT analysis and schedule risk analysis. (Labour/Cost units)
• Should show strong ability to carry out risk assessments for project schedules.
• Should show strong ability to develop risk management plan with clear roles and responsibilities for planning under business cycle.
• Should show strong ability to identify the tools and reports required for the project schedule planning as per the client needs for multiple projects.
• Should show strong ability to use knowledge and experience to guide and mentor planners in using planning tools and reports
• Should show strong ability to communicate effectively with Planning team, project team and their respective line managers across various projects.
• Should show strong ability to suggest and support discussion on alternative construction sequencing.  Able to analyse existing and alternative methods/sequencing  in relation to base line programme and guide planning team & project team.
• Demonstrate Strong knowledge of site logistics and its impacts on schedule.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge and practically applying claims & type of time claims, Should have hands on experience of time claim in atleast 3 or 4 projects. Demonstrate strong  knowledge of Arbitration procedures.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of contracts conditions and terms of contract. FIDIC contracts, Local Labour and Contracts. Time Claim Procedures. Arbitration Procedures.
