Senior Project and Drilling Cost Engineer
Contract period: ASAP - 2 years duration

Contract period: ASAP - 2 years duration
Location: Stavanger
Main Tasks:
- Responsible for overall project cost engineering, forecasting and monthly reporting in Pims Cost Management
- Responsible for all Drilling related cost engineering, forecasting and status reporting
- Maintain control budgets (CCEs), document and present basis and assumptions as part of baseline updates twice a year
- Prepare and maintain Well Budgets and AFE Cost Estimates including subsequent cost controlling and forecasting of well specific costs
- Input and maintain AFE into applicable Company software
- Input and maintain Drilling cost status and forecasts into Pims Cost Management
- Create PRs, SRs and RFS as part of Procurement process
- Manage accrual and cash call process and interface with Finance
- Perform and present cost forecasting and variance analysis vs control budgets, previous periods and VOWD
- Ensure uncertainties and risks are considered and reflected appropriately in cost forecasts
- Participate in project change processes (MoC, VOR/VO) to identify and assess impact on project cost and record changes in Pims Cost Management
- Interface and liaise with Finance and Procurement on relevant processes such as SAP, WBS, WP&B, PR/PO, commitments, invoicing, VOR/VO
- End of Well Cost analysis (Actual cost vs AFE)
- End of Well Usage reconciliation of tangibles, rig rate, etc
- Develop and maintain project CBS and WBS for the project, and implement in Pims Cost Management and SAP
- Interface and co-operate with project team members and contractors to capture, understand and report status and changes
- Implement and maintain cost engineering tools, procedures, guidelines and methodology in the project according to Company’s requirements
- Provide cost information to Company’s annual planning cycle and JV budgeting processes
- Develop budget and forecast scenarios as required by Project Management
- Inform and advise Project Management on any cost engineering related issues
- Contribute in cost engineering reviews and as required (i.e. EPR, Well Engineering gates, CSRA and other)
- Active support achievement of the project HSSE objectives, targets and KPI’s
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of project delivery experience from offshore oil & gas industry preferably from NCS
- Demonstrate experience from working with Cost Engineering in an integrated team within engineering and construction during Execute phase
- Demonstrate experience from working with Cost Engineering within development drilling
- Ability to apply consistent Cost Engineering methodologies and deal appropriately with detail
- General knowledge of Project Management principles and techniques
- General knowledge of Contracts and Procurement principles and techniques
- General knowledge of Economics and Commercial principles and techniques
- Proficient with the use of standard office software and Project Controls tools (PIMS, SAP, Primavera, Safran etc)
- The ability to lead and interact with specialist engineers, project teams and contractors is essential
- Experience in working for an upstream operator company
- Strong analytic skills & excellent written and verbal English communications skills
- Must have a “team attitude.
- Self-motivated and be willing to support delivery team planners as required
