Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Purchaser to join our client. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in purchasing within the drilling industry. This role involves managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for drilling operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Purchaser to join our client. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in purchasing within the drilling industry. This role involves managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for drilling operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the operations team to forecast demand and manage supply chain logistics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify potential new suppliers.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior purchasing staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in the drilling industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
