Service & Commissioning Engineer

NES Fircroft are working with an Oilfield Services company who are looking for a Service Engineer who has experience with heavy lifting equipment to join their team on a 24-month contract. This role is based in Schiedam and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation and commissioning of equipment on offshore installations, ships, shipyards and workshops.
 
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Installation and commissioning of equipment on offshore installations, ships, shipyards or workshops.
• Providing service and carrying out inspections on hydraulic and electric jacking systems, offshore cranes, restraint systems and skidding systems.
• Coordinating subcontractor service engineers
• Updating procedures, instructions and checklists.
• Interface with relevant departments for a thorough understanding of products.
• Comply with company and customer HSE guidelines and procedures.
• On-call service to provide support and service to customers outside office hours.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working on hydraulic systems or systems with advanced control technology
• Experience with cranes, lifting systems or other heavy equipment. 
• MBO level 3/4 or higher in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, mechanics or mechatronics.
• Or MBO level 3/4 or higher in electrical engineering, preferably experience with PLC programming, Step 7 or Tia portal.
• Good command of the English language, both written and oral.
• Based in Netherlands
