We are currently seeking an experienced Shutdown Planner or Coordinator to assist in the preparation and execution of our upcoming September shutdown, as well as other scheduled shutdowns on Lihir Island. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-class mining operation in a dynamic and challenging environment, contributing directly to the success of shutdown campaigns.

πŸ” Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage detailed shutdown schedules using MS Project
  • Coordinate planning activities in collaboration with maintenance, operations, and contractor teams
  • Ensure effective use of SAP for work order management and shutdown planning
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders
  • Assist with shutdown execution and continuous improvement planning
βœ… Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience as a Shutdown Planner or Coordinator in mining or heavy industry
  • Proficient in MS Project and SAP
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in shutdown or maintenance planning roles
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a remote and multicultural environment

  • Duration: 6 months initially, with the possibility of extension based on project needs
  • Start Date: Start of August for onboarding – preparation for September shutdown
