Site Material Handling Support

Receive, Control and manage all materials and equipment from arrival at site to handover to construction disciplines or to other parties. Lead a team for materials management on site if applicable depending on the scope of delivery.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Operational
  • Utilize MTA and/or supplier net tools, including training others.
  • Coordinate materials under responsibility.
  • Implement shipping procedures and verify materials against the master shipping list.
  • Establish systems for receipt, storage, and release of materials.
  • Implement storage control procedures and organize storage areas.
  • Establish material schedules and interfaces between logistics and the site.
  • Implement stock control and preservation procedures.
  • Register and record materials on-site.
  • Handle and forward arriving materials to field assembly.
  • Address and report shipment damages.
  • Ensure all documents accompanying deliveries are complete and archived.
  • Inspect incoming goods and report shortages or damages.
  • Maintain daily logs and execute packing rubbish disposal plans.
  • Coordinate loose material delivery and assess material conditions.
Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)
  • Implement EHS policy within material handling management.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Site Manager.
  • Ensure contractors comply with EHS requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate additional material handling personnel if required.
Specific Functional/Technical Authority
  • Participate in implementing site material handling infrastructure.
  • Select and hire material control/handling staff.
  • Define site procedures for material handling, storage, movement, and issue.
  • Ensure proper utilization of material handling resources.
  • May suspend work in case of abnormal or risky conditions.

Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in material handling, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Understanding of material handling equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
