A prominent manufacturer in the gas & technologies industry is seeking a Sourcing Specialist / Procurement Specialist with expertise in transport. This role focuses on sourcing transportation services, negotiating contracts, and optimizing logistics to ensure efficient delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the transportation sector, and bring to the role a wealth of experience navigating the fast & refined process of logisitcs transport for assests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for transportation services.
- Identify and evaluate potential transport suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with transport service providers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align transportation needs.
- Monitor transport performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with transport vendors and resolve issues.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulations.
- Review contracts to ensure compliance and performance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, focused on transportation.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
