Job Title: SOX Tester

Job Type: Contract/Part-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified SOX Tester with an accounting background and experience in controls testing. The SOX Tester will be responsible for conducting audits twice a year, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role requires independence and the ability to attend training sessions to acquire the necessary skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Controls Testing: Perform SOX controls testing to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Independence: Maintain independence and objectivity throughout the audit process.
  • Training: Attend mandatory training sessions to ensure the appropriate skillset for conducting SOX audits.
  • Audit Execution: Conduct audits during the months of January and September, each lasting approximately two to three weeks.
  • Reporting: Document and report findings, providing recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in controls testing is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SOX requirements and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity.
Additional Information:

  • Availability required twice a year for audit periods in January and September.
  • Each audit period will last approximately two to three weeks.
