SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER (DEVELOPMENT) - DATA SCIENTIST / DATA ANALYST (POWER BI)
Qualification:
 
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certification in Data Analytics, Power BI, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
  • Manage and oversee the Power BI environment, ensuring adherence to governance policies and best practices.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols for data access and report sharing.
  • Monitor usage and performance metrics to optimize the Power BI ecosystem.
  • Design and implement data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data.
  • Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to automate data ingestion and preparation.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through effective tuning strategies.
  • Provide training sessions and workshops for end-users to enhance their Power BI skills.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Power BI tools.
  • Configure and manage data sources in the Power BI Gateway to ensure seamless data refresh and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data source configurations.


Work Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse development.
  • Proven experience in building user-friendly and impactful dashboards in Power BI.


Skills:
 
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in Power BI administration, report development, and data modeling
  • Ability to effectively translate data into visually compelling and easily digestible formats.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain language.
  • Expertise in DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages for data cleaning/wrangling, scripting, and automation.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI for data visualization, Data cleaning (Power Query) report development, and dashboard design.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema) and database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
  • Experience connecting to SAP data sources and understanding of cloud data platforms.
