Structural and Piping Engineer (Resident)

JOB TITLE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION Present job holder : TBC PURPOSE and ACCOUNTABILITIES PURPOSE – to provide the technical link and support service for the following · from receipt of a structural inspection findings· Develop / Engineer a STRUCTURAL solution [individually or with 3rd party consultant]· For like for like and like for like in principle - Liaise with FOPS maintenance and campaign teams to integrate solutionto execution plan and ensure completion offshore, send as-built data to E&C for revision control of master data.· For non like for like – develop scope of work for transferring rectification project to an RFM class 1 for execution byE&C· Develop and track FFS requests [based on inspection finding reports and transmit to E&C for validation.· Develop and track temporary repairs using FFS system.· Act as STR focal for lifting plan STR integrity assessment – assign to E&C as appropriate;[ track and plan all scopeswhere possible]· Check lifting adequacy from lifting plans of uncertified structure.· Assess load bearing scaffold designs including steel foundation. · Front line STR support [assured by EC/STR] for all STR related activities offshore [not global integrity]- Ensure all facets of Structural Engineering under area of responsibility; for all new developments / brownfieldmodifications and life time extensions are technically compliant, safely and timely completed in accordance withInternational Standards, NOC policies, process, standards and guidelines.- Secure Cost efficiency and develop savings in budgeting and schedule for projects that are executed within E&C.- Maintain a high level of professional operational, technical design and safety knowledge.- Provide advice in the field of Structural Engineering to the wider NOC community. JOB DIMENSIONS Managed positions: none- Technically manage and coordinate the Structural Engineering content of multi-discipline with minimal input from managerand as directed by Structural TRP.- Carry out structural studies and develop solutions for immediate FOPS corrective and fabric maintenance findings frominitiation to Detailed & Installation Engineering by supervising Engineering contractors teams / FOPS execution teams.- Develop in-house work packs for corrective STR maintenance / assess the structural element of lift plans and involve STRTRP as appropriate- Manage third party contractors to develop work packs to AFC.- Report to Structural TRP any defects, threats and their solutions to protect ongoing safe production operations.
