NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager for our client, who are a global, industry-leading power technology company.

Supply Chain Programme Manager
Location: Warwick
Hybrid work: Twice per week in office

The Supply Chain Programme Manager (SCPM) is responsible to define and execute a programme of sourcing transfer projects that reactivates the ST30’s engine’s components in support of Services and new unit requirements.

Responsibilities
  • The SCPM is accountable to fully define the work breakdown structure, sourcing packages and supporting programmes of work that will deliver source change requirements. 
  • The SCPM manages programme team members, including other SC Project Managers allocated to the programme, any dedicated resources and other supporting resources, to maximize capacity efficiently ensuring best possible delivery execution timescales for their programme.
  • The SCPM will be the liaison between the A35 Portfolio and key stakeholders.  The SCPM will be responsible to ensure the AGT functional organizations make resource management decisions in a timely manner in support of the programme’s deliverables.
  • The SCPM will oversee project managers and other project roles when it comes to areas such as project quality management, risk management, performance reporting and budgeting.  The SCPM will act as subject matter expert for their team’s processes and ensure a high standard of project execution excellence.
  • The SCPM will have the accountability to establish a Change Control Board in charge of approving programme changes that affect the project schedule or budget.
  • The SCPM will form and report to a steering committee advisory board that has governance over the programme and includes a cross-functional team of executives.
  • The SCPM reports to the head of Supply Chain Transformation Programmes.
The programme scope is up to 200 components that will require sourcing and qualification within 3 years.  There will be up to 15 full time equivalent resources across programme duration.  Key Gas Turbine commodities include discs, drums (welded disc assemblies), shafts, casings, blades, vanes, combustion liners, external piping, engine controls and general machining.  Raw material requirements will include provisioning of castings and forgings.
The programme will terminate when the newly established supply chain is delivering to an acceptable rate and quality level.

Essential
  • Recognized Project Management Certification.
  • Sound business and/or engineering knowledge with a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Significant work experience in a project management, engineering or supply chain role.
  • A good understanding of OEM & Service business processes, with experience in process improvement and delivering results-based performance.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of aerospace component manufacturing, sourcing processes, risk management and programme management.
  • A good understanding of aerospace design & product change control processes.
  • Ability to work and engage at all levels in the business, with an appreciation of change management fundamentals.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization with a mix of dedicated and non-dedicated resources is also crucial to ensure success as not all resources required will be dedicated to the programme.
