NES Fircroft are on the lookout for 2 x Survey Technicians, one for Aberdeen and another for Great Yarmouth.
These are permanent positions for our Oil & Gas / Subsea client, and will include a mix of both onshore & offshore work. This role will have a primary focus on ensuring the client's rental equipment is maintained to a high standard and ready for deployment.
This will include carrying out visual inspections, function testing and writing technical reports, along with checking, inspecting and documenting equipment when returned from hire.
Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to;
Rental (onshore)
• Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire
• Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity
• Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists
• Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment returned from hire
• Identification of in-house or external repair tasks
• Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice
• General warehouse and delivery duties
Mobilisations / Demobilisations (offshore)
• Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation
• Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation
• Troubleshoot to successful conclusion
• Assist offshore survey team as required
• Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base
Requirements of Role
• Working knowledge of electronic engineering principles, techniques and practices
• Experience in working with survey equipment
• Experience of asset tracking databases
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work remotely with relevant IT access
• Knowledge of interfacing survey sensors with acquisition software
• Ability to work unsupervised on basic offshore projects
• Ability to operate survey equipment as part of an offshore survey team
• Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline
• The successful candidate must hold a Full UK Driving licence
