Our client, an oil ad gas operator, currently requires a Systems Accountant to join the team in Aberdeen on a long-term contract basis.

Purpose of Role:          

-           Provide systems support to the Finance function and the wider business in relation to security access.

Critical Responsibilities:

-           Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and HSES Procedures

Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:

-           Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:

-           Direct SAP Support
-           Creation of master-data in-line with local standards
-           Execute month end processes in line with timetable
-           Perform system functional integrity testing where appropriate
-           Troubleshoot any system issues for the UK Finance Group
-           Assignment of Systems Security 
-           Maintain system DOA and SOD compliance
-           Perform periodic control reviews and continuous control monitoring
-           Liaising with business on process enhancements.
-           Participating in projects relating to the finance function which have a systems dimension or impact
-           Internal and External audit support as required

-           Support company initiatives such as System Integration projects as required
-           Any other duty as instructed by your Line Manager
           
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:

-           UK North Sea experience required
-           Strong analytical skills
-           Experience of Financial Systems
-           Strong MS Office skills
-           Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation
-           Focus on service delivery to business and functions
-           Flexible and responsive to stakeholder requirements and changing environment
-           Ability to deliver high quality work by deadlines and work effectively under time pressure
-           Ability to work on own initiative, proactively drive change, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
-           Open, honest and reliable
