Responsibilities:
  • Install instrumentation on gas turbine hardware.
  • Work with manufacturing/vendors to ensure instrumentation is not damaged during assembly operations.
  • Work with engineering component owners to design/apply instrumentation methods for gas turbine hardware.
  • Review and approve program level documentation including budgets, schedules, and drawings.
  • Manage validation projects, working as part of a broader engineering team.
  • Design data acquisition systems to meet validation requirements.
  • Perform operational checks on test equipment and sensors.
  • Packing, shipping and setting up test equipment
  • Applying and troubleshooting instrumentation on gas turbines and accessory equipment.
  • Operation of various data acquisition systems per company ISO procedures and best practices.
  • Pulling cables and installing in cable tray.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 1-3 years of experience in execution of industrial equipment tests, involving setup and operation of data acquisition systems.
Skills:
  • Working knowledge of engineering software (CAD, ANSYS, etc).
  • Proficient in the use of computer testing software such as LabVIEW and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have excellent computer and technical skills.
  • Computer networking experience a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking to solve issues.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to document process and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers and specialists. Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50% of the time.
