Test Specialist III

Responsibilites:

• Install instrumentation on gas turbine hardware.
• Work with manufacturing/vendors to ensure instrumentation is not damaged during assembly operations.
• Work with engineering component owners to design/apply instrumentation methods for gas turbine hardware.
• Review and approve program level documentation including budgets, schedules, and drawings.
• Design data acquisition systems to meet validation requirements.
• Perform operational checks on test equipment and sensors.
• Packing, shipping and setting up test equipment.
• Applying and troubleshooting instrumentation on gas turbines and accessory equipment.
• Operation of various data acquisition systems per company ISO procedures and best practices.
• Pulling cables and installing in cable tray.

Education/Experience:

• Associates Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Bachelors degree a plus. Military background a plus.
• Experience in execution of industrial equipment tests, involving setup and operation of data acquisition systems.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of engineering software.
• Proficient in the use of PC-based computer testing software such as LabVIEW and MS Excel.
• Must have excellent computer and technical skills.  Computer networking experience a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking to solve issues.
• Good project management skills and the ability to document.
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
• Relies on minimal instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time, domestically and internationally.
