- Place materials into stock and process/file paperwork (i.e. packing slips).
- Enter the received goods into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Reorder stock items when they go below minimum on hand level.
- Assist in assigning storage locations when applicable.
- Assist with the accounting function related to shipping and receiving.
- Assist in the staging of parts for scheduled jobs in coordination with other plant departments within the assigned area of responsibility, including daily short-range and long-range planning.
- Maintain the housekeeping of the warehouse and other warehouse designated storage areas in a safe and efficient condition.
- Assist purchasing personnel related to the procurement of product, beginning with the intent to purchase through the receipt of delivered goods.
- Assist purchasing personnel to create, enter, and send out purchase orders, service orders and confirm receipt of the orders by the vendors.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, employees and customers.
- Assure that vendors and couriers comply with all site safety requirements.
- Ensure that inventory integrity is maintained in accordance with annual plant goals.
- Ensure spare parts are removed from inventory upon being identified as obsolete and replace with appropriate levels of spares if applicable.
- Identify and add existing spare parts to inventory that are not in the CMMS.
- Perform monthly spot audits in warehouse to ensure that all items have been audited a minimum of annually.
- Interact with the supply chain manager to ensure all company and facility requirements are met.
- Assist in the coordination of all audits.
- Assist in any independent spot audits.
- Provide training and assistance to plant personnel related to warehousing functions.
- Ensure that all materials delivered/shipped include required MSDS documentation.
Additional Information:
- Excellent/effective interpersonal, team skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must be able to qualify in DOT and Forklift/Manual Pallet Jack qualification
