Our client encountered a distinct lack of suitably skilled engineers with the requisite LNG project background.
To add further complication, the volume of personnel required to staff the terminal was significantly large, and embodied a huge array of skillsets. Finally, the delivery time was set to be exceptionally tight if the client was to remain on track within the project schedule.
Our Solution
Our Mannheim office is backed by a network of further offices situated across Europe, staffed with experienced recruitment consultants.
We established a project office in Hamburg, and met with the client to ascertain a detailed brief. Following this, we used our existing talent networks coupled with our vast LinkedIn following of technical personnel, to launch a campaign to source, attract and place the volume of staff required.
Our recruitment expertise encompassed:
- Market rate banding and budgeting advice, to enable our client to attract suitable talent at a competitive rate.
- Contingent contract recruitment services, including assignment support from an award-winning team. Around a quarter of the candidates were expatriates, sourced from all across Europe, and the assignment support team were on hand to assist with obtaining visas and work permits where required, as well as undertaking all necessary background checks on all candidates.
- AUG advisory services (where appropriate); our experienced team provided detailed and specific advice around project compliance when engaging temporary workers in Germany, to ensure all local regulations were adhered to.
- Payroll services in the local currency.
The Results
- In total, we interviewed 115 candidates and progressed 60 to the shortlist stage for an interview with our client.
- The quality of candidates was so high that 25% of these candidates made it through to second interview stage, and a total of 5 have been placed to date.
