Our client was new to the UAE region. The Desalination project is the largest project that the client has ever won; they did not have the capacity nor the local network available to fill the scope.
The client required an external workforce solutions specialist to support their visa, recruitment and payroll needs on the project.
In addition, the UAE Federal Energy & Water Association (FEWA) has strict project timelines and milestones that the client needed to adhere to.
Our demonstrable experience of providing efficient and compliant visas for personnel, combined with our global network supporting thousands of contractors meant that they reached out to NES for support.
Our Solution
For effective communication and unrivalled support, NES appointed a dedicated Account Manager from our own Dubai office. The appointed Account Manager is supported by a wider specialist team which incorporates local assignment support professionals, travel coordination, finance teams, a Government liaison officer and our UAE Operations Manager.
- Our Account Manager arranged bi-weekly meetings with our client on-site to provide updates and support throughout their ongoing requirements.
We are currently supporting the initial scope for 15 expatriate personnel through the provision of search and selection and assignment support services. - Support activities include scouring our existing database for appropriate talent and leveraging our extensive external networks.
We have an easy to use online timesheet system to further assist contractors with their payroll.
The results of our support
To date we have sourced engineers for the Electrical, Marine, Civil and QA/QC departments.
Our sophisticated and automated processes save money for our clients. We keep a close watch on our contractor network for individuals that are due to reach the end of their assignment, and actively market this talent to our clients. This significantly reduces a client’s mobilisation costs for visas and flights, and there’s no waiting time for deployment as they are already in-country.
