NES Fircroft (NESF), the world’s leading provider of engineering and technical manpower, is thrilled to announce its new QA/QC surveillance oversight contract with Inch Cape Offshore Limited. This partnership will support the foundation fabrication scope in China for one of Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm projects, with a capacity of nearly 1.1 gigawatts. This project is crucial for meeting Scotland's and the UK's offshore wind targets.
Upon completion in 2027, the wind farm will feature up to 72 wind turbines and a single offshore substation. This will significantly contribute to the UK Government’s goal of achieving 50 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind installed capacity by 2030, reducing carbon emissions by 2.5 million tonnes per year compared to fossil fuels.
Neil Mellin, Regional Director – Renewables, NES Fircroft, commented:
“Leveraging our unmatched candidate networks within offshore wind and our renowned expertise in compliant, seamless mobility services, NESF will supply both expatriate and local talent to support the fabrication and construction phases. We are excited to deliver the skilled technical resources essential for this project phase and beyond."
John Hill, Project Director, Inch Cape added:
“We are pleased to have NES Fircroft supporting Inch Cape’s foundation fabrication phase, providing experienced teams to ensure vital QA/QC surveillance at multiple sites".
