NES Fircroft Releases 2024 Energy Transition Report

Our 3rd annual instalment of the Energy Transition Report, in collaboration with Energy Jobline, is now available! As the industry continues to undergo significant changes, we must provide talent pools with the right experience to meet the challenges ahead.

This year, we engaged with a wide range of employees and employers to assess the current market conditions and gather insights on essential actions needed to support the growth and success of both projects and individuals. We received responses from over 8,500 participants in our survey.

Following the success of last year’s report, this 2024 outlook follows up on some of our previous themes and investigates:

• If workers feel they have the skills to tackle the changing energy landscape
• Do they want to move sectors? And if they have moved, how did they find it?
• What do they think is holding back the energy transition?
• What are the main factors contributing to a ‘skills gap’

With this report, we aim to provide energy employers with valuable insights into the talent landscape and assist them in developing an EVP strategy that attracts, retains, and cultivates the expertise needed across all energy sectors.
